Meet the 2025 Executive Team
 
At the Beta Alpha Psi USYD Chapter, we have a small but dedicated team of executives who not only serve to organise and provide events for our members but also act as a voice for the Oceania Chapters amongst the broader Beta Alpha Psi International Organisation.

Matthew Selkrig 
Co-President

Matthew is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce and Advanced Studies (Dalyell Scholars), majoring in Finance and Professional Accounting. Since joining Beta Alpha Psi in 2023, Matthew has taken on key leadership roles, including spearheading the 2023 McKinsey x BAP case competition, which focused on updating Sydney's transport infrastructure to accommodate mega-events, and in 2024, launched the inaugural ICE-breaker Event Series, which ultimately paired students with 1-on-1 mentors from leading global firms. As Co-President, Matthew is focused on increasing engagement with corporates across a diverse range of industries, particularly in the alternatives space, while fostering greater cross-society collaboration. Outside of his academic and leadership responsibilities, Matthew is a passionate sports fan, playing Division 2 football and supporting Tottenham in the EPL, McLaren in F1 and regularly attending Sydney Swans and Roosters games at the SCG and Allianz Stadium.

Jayden Yun

Co-President

Jayden is a third-year Bachelor of Commerce (Dalyell Scholars) student majoring in Finance and Financial Economics. Since joining Beta Alpha Psi in 2023, he has actively contributed to the society’s growth by organising and hosting key initiatives, including the 2023 and 2024 Diversity & Inclusion Case Competition, the 2023 and 2024 McKinsey x BAP Annual Competition, and co-hosting the 2024 ICE-Breaker initiative alongside Co-President Matthew. His leadership is driven by a commitment to fostering a culture of mutual respect, collaboration, and meaningful connections both within the society and externally. As Co-President, Jayden aims to create an inclusive and engaging environment where members can develop professionally and personally. Outside of university, he enjoys driving, watching baseball, and snowboarding. If you're a baseball enthusiast or simply want to chat, feel free to reach out - he's always keen to connect over a shared passion for the game!

Kevin Yu
General Manager

Kevin is a 2nd year Commerce and Law student (Dalyell Scholars), majoring in Business Information Systems. He joined BAP at the start of 2024 and has loved participating and helping to organise both professional and social events such as the BAP x CAANZ Interactive Case Comp and inaugural BAP road trip. As General Manager for 2025, Kevin is excited to help facilitate the smooth operation of countless more BAP events. Outside of uni, Kevin is heavily involved with volleyball, having represented Australia at the international level with tours in Thailand and Taiwan.

Frisco Ramli 
Communications Director
Frisco is a third-year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Sydney, majoring in Finance and Professional Accounting. Since joining Beta Alpha Psi in late 2023, he has contributed actively to the society’s communications portfolio, authoring the economic outlook section in BAP’s fortnightly newsletter to share insights on market trends. He has also assisted in facilitating events like the Diversity & Inclusion Case Competition and the USU Food Hub. As the Communications Director for 2025, Frisco is dedicated to enhancing engagement and fostering informative content within the society. Beyond his academic endeavour, Frisco is currently working as a junior accountant in an insolvency and restructuring firm, and during his free time, he enjoys going for evening runs.

Hunter McPherson

Events and Competitions Director

Hunter is a second-year Bachelor of Commerce student majoring in Finance and Economics. He joined Beta Alpha Psi at the beginning of 2024 and has since actively contributed to and participated in the organisation’s internal and external events. Collaborating closely with Daniel, Hunter is dedicated to advancing BAP’s initiatives focused on professional development and community engagement through volunteer work. Originally from New Zealand, Hunter values the robust network and opportunities Beta Alpha Psi provides both within the University of Sydney and beyond. Outside of his academic pursuits, Hunter enjoys surfing and playing rugby.

Daniel Zou

Events & Comps Director

Daniel is currently pursuing a Bachelor of PPE (Philosophy, Politics, Economics) at the University of Sydney. Since joining Beta Alpha Psi in 2024, he has led numerous initiatives, events and strategies including hosting panels with sponsors such as CAANZ. Through co-authoring 2024’s McKinsey x BAP case competition, Dan showcased his passion for impact and ESG by prompting competitors to consider the feasibility of Shell repurposing its UK Brent and Leman oil fields into alternative energy generation sites. To foster greater team spirit and camaraderie, Dan also launched 2024’s BAP executive offsite involving a weekend stay at Lake Munmorah. As Events & Comps director in 2025, Dan strives to spearhead communal, financial-literacy initiatives and creative, on-demand student events in order to optimise the society's growth, culture and representation. Beyond BAP, Dan aims to access the global financial hubs of New York and London in the near future to widen his perspective and learn more about himself.

Amelia Pok

Marketing Director

Amelia is a second-year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Sydney, majoring in Accounting and Data Science. Since joining Beta Alpha Psi in 2024 as a Marketing Subcommittee Member, she has contributed to organizing internal events, pitching sustainable initiatives, volunteering for the USU Food Hub, and hosting the popular BAP Road Trip. Now as Marketing Director, Amelia drives social media campaigns and creative projects to enhance the society’s presence and engagement. Outside of BAP, she enjoys beach days, snorkelling, arts, music, netball, and bouldering.

Chi Le

Marketing Director

Chi is a second-year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Sydney, majoring in Accounting and Finance. Since becoming a Marketing Subcommittee Member of Beta Alpha Psi in 2024, she has played a key role in organizing internal events, proposing sustainable initiatives, and supporting the USU Food Hub as a volunteer. Now serving as Marketing Director, Chi oversees social media campaigns and spearheads creative projects aimed at boosting the society’s visibility and member engagement. Beyond her involvement with BAP, she finds joy in cafe hopping, swimming, fashion, and embracing new adventures.

Tony Lu

Sponsorships Director

Tony is in his second year studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Advanced Studies, majoring in finance and economics. He joined BAP in early 2024 and has since helped to organise and facilitate events such as the BAP x CA ANZ, as well as some of the sponsor relationships BAP has with the industry firms. As sponsorships director for 2025, Tony is excited to extend the outreach of BAP deep into the relevant industries, and help increase BAP’s presence as a major society with both regional and truly global networks. Outside of his academic and professional goals, you’ll find Tony going on evening runs and watching movies.

Quan Gan

Faculty Advisor 2024 - Current

Quan teaches finance courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has received Dean’s Citation of Teaching and Education Innovation grants several times. He has scholarly publications in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, and Real Estate Economics. He was the faculty advisor to USYD's CFA research challenge teams (2022 Asia-Pacific and 2023 global champions). He won the Student Life Enhancement Award in 2023 and the USS Teaching Award in 2024. In his early life, he worked in the IT sector in Silicon Valley (Santa Clara), California, and in the financial industry in Zurich. The Faculty Advisor’s mission is to nurture the chapter, enhance the chapter’s influence in Oceania, lead the team to attend Beta Alpha Psi’s mid-year and annual meetings, participate (and win) in challenges and competitions, build multi-disciplinary alumni networks, and guide the team to forge internal and external alliances.

Jeff Brown
Co-Chair
After a successful role as President in 2019, and Co-Chair since 2020, Jeff will be continuing his work with Beta Alpha Psi as a Co-Chair in 2024. In 2020, Jeff represented Australia in the Global CFA Institute Research Challenge Team, and became the first Australian team to ever win the competition as world champions. Jeff proudly flies the BAP flag everywhere he goes. He is a very down to earth and caring person, and is always free to have a chat about absolutely anything. Jeff studied a peculiar combination of Physics, Economics and Finance - ask him why! Jeff works for a global investment fund manager based out of Sydney. He is also passionate about analytical & scientific communication in the workforce, along with financial literacy for all. Say hi to Jeff and he will gladly show you yet another opportunity on offer!
